I lead the UI & Tooling Developer Relations Team at Google Chrome. Our team focuses on making the web platform easier to use and more robust for developers, primarily through CSS, HTML, and DevTools capabilities (with some JavaScript mixed in too). We help design web platform APIs, build samples to identify bugs and demonstrate use cases, research and help prioritize what to add to the platform, and share all the new stuff with you! It’s a pretty meta role, and I love getting to play a small part in supporting the evolving web ecosystem. I’m also a member of the CSS Working Group and OpenUI Community Group.

Saskia is an artist, creative coder, interaction designer, visual designer and educator. My work focuses on structure, geometry and playfulness. A big part of her artistic practice is her ongoing daily art project that I started January 2015. Saskia explores and experiments with generative patterns and animations daily. You can follow her daily art on Tumblr, Ello, Twitter or Instagram.
Saskia creates both digital and physical works. From her daily digital artworks Saskia explores ways to make work physical with the use of digital fabrication. You can think of laser cut structures from wood, laser cut paper and printed designs.

Her research focuses on the cultural aspect of the interface, on the space between the human and the machine. Saskia is interested in exploring the affect of what certain interactions and interfaces have, both on the human and the machine. The goal is to create interactive installations that engage the user in playful ways to let them explore the machine and see the technology we are using daily in a different way.

Deep (and yes, it really is his name) started his DJing journey in a sweaty club in Berlin back in 2017, where he witnessed his growing obsession for electronic music tip over from hobby to worthwhile passion. Since then, he has traveled to some of the dustiest and lushest corners of the globe from his hometown Melbourne to the beaches of Bali, from Black Rock City to the Tankwa Karoo of South Africa, from the mountains of Sinai to the Red Sea and beyond living out this passion and transmitting elevating frequencies through his music. His musical selections are one of unabashed love of emotional, vocal melodies juxtapositioned to the deeper end of the sonic spectrum, while showing the influences of his musical upbringing in rock music and pop culture as well as occasionally giving us peeks into the music of his ancestors.
While the world slowed down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Deep managed to stay engaged in his passion for music. Since 2020, he is one of the curators of the Flow Sessions long-format mix series. He is also co-organiser, curator and "rave engineer" of boutique gatherings such as experience UTOPIA, as well as being involved in organizing Burner and underground gatherings in Berlin and Amsterdam (where he is based since 2020 in pursuit of his rather cosmic day job as a space engineer)
Wowa Effect aka Wowa Barssukov revives the art of creating music with knowledge and analog instruments. His unique tracks originate from a combination of retro synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers. He transcends mood into music, no exact recreation possible when playing live; all sounds originated by hand. His debut performances were underground raves and house parties in 2018. His musical knowledge is based on classical Russian music education. Growing up in Siberia in the ’90s, his childhood was filled with communism, the sense of upheaval, and the upcoming of an underground raver scene. He started his electronic music journey under the name ‘Limpfate’ in 2017 first by creating his tracks with Ableton Live, until growing bored of the unengaging production. He then discovered analog synthesizers and drum machines, which shaped the sound of the electronic music scene in the ’90s, and spent countless hours on mastering the complex devices. This art of performing allows Wowa to explore the vast horizon of electronic music. Therefore his sounds vary from ecstatic electro over the groovy house to deep techno. His tracks take the listeners on journeys through the unknown, full of surprising details.
When watching Wowa perform, you will notice a set of blinking lights, cables, and his straight face. When Wowa plays, it’s without exception, live. Wowa now lives in Berlin, close to the pulse of the original German techno scene with its renowned Berghain.
